Ukrainian drones struck the Russian city of Voronezh during the night of October 25 and 26, hitting two major industrial facilities.
The first target was Voronezhsintezkauchuk, a rubber manufacturing plant owned by the Sibur group. The facility produces synthetic rubbers and polymer materials. Ukrainian open source intelligence channels Supernova+ and Exilenova+ identified the location of this specific strike.
The second target was the Voronezh Aircraft Production Association, known as VASO. This plant operates under the Il division of the United Aircraft Corporation. It manufactures the Ilyushin Il-96 jet airliner and produces various aviation components.
Aleksandr Gusev, the governor of Voronezh Oblast, confirmed that fires broke out at several industrial businesses. He stated that the blazes occurred without significant consequences. Gusev did not name the specific factories in his initial report.
The governor also listed damage to a business center, one apartment building, two seasonal dacha settlements, a school stadium, and a garage cooperative. He noted that facade and window damage was recorded in nearly every district of the city.
Astra, a Russian media outlet, provided specific street locations for several explosions. A drone hit the Galereya Chizhova business center at 35A Koltsovskaya Street. Explosions were also recorded near residential buildings at 52A 25th Yanvarya Street and 4K Arkhitektora Troitskovo Street. The Uritsky residential complex at 135 Uritskovo Street sustained damage, and at least 10 cars caught fire in a parking lot on 275/1 45th Strelkovoy Divizii Street.
Gusev reported that air defense systems intercepted 70 drones directly over the city. The total number of drones downed across the wider Voronezh urban area and surrounding districts reached 113. Astra readers described hearing explosions and air defense activity for more than an hour, with smoke covering the city. No air-raid warning had been issued before the strikes began.
