Roseville's 4-4 Finish Marks Best Record Since 2017 as Minnesota Class 6A Regular Season Closes

Roseville finished 4-4 on Friday night, the program's best mark since 2017, after the Raiders beat Coon Rapids 24-14 to take the Metro Maroon subdistrict title. Senior quarterback Chase Browning threw for 162 yards and three touchdowns in the win. "It's an amazing feeling," Browning said. "I don't even have words for it. We've all worked so hard. It's great to see it finally paying off."

The regular season's final night also settled seeding elsewhere in Class 6A. Forest Lake locked up a No. 2 seed behind Mack Jurkovich, who ran for 245 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-13 win over Stillwater. Jurkovich, committed to St. Thomas, closed the year with 1,600 rushing yards. Centennial's 38-6 result over Anoka likely positions the Cougars as the No. 3 seed, and it held Anoka to six points, the first time the Tornadoes were kept under 10 this season. Anoka's total was the lowest allowed by that defense in a game it had previously cleared that threshold in every prior outing.

Subdistrict titles were decided by single scores. Mounds View claimed the Metro East crown after Tanner Jude's one-yard run with 65 seconds left and a two-point try made it 22-16 over White Bear Lake. Preston Johnson intercepted the Bears on the next possession to end it. Mounds View's defense limited Wyatt Stachowiak to six completions on 24 attempts.

East Ridge closed at 4-3 with a 42-31 win over Woodbury, where Logan Tretter ran for two touchdowns and Elias Mather returned an interception for a late score. Park beat Eastview 18-10 behind two scores from junior receiver Manny Vargas, one on a reception and one on a 75-yard punt return.

In the south metro, Lakeville South's Dylan Nelson made a 36-yard field goal as time expired to beat Rosemount 17-14, a result that complicates seeding in that bracket.

Playoff seeding and brackets follow.
