Vanessa Trump declared herself cancer-free on Friday after receiving clear test results from a recent scan. The announcement came six months after she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. The 48-year-old shared the update in a short video posted to the Instagram account of her daughter, Kai Trump.

In the clip, Trump stated that her results "came back clear, so I'm finally cancer-free." She confirmed the initial diagnosis occurred in April. She made the news public in May, revealing that she had undergone surgery and was developing a treatment plan with her medical team at the time.

Kai Trump, 19, wrote in the caption that the short video serves as a preview for a longer release scheduled for Saturday on YouTube. That segment will feature her mother and Dr. Nicole Saphier discussing breast cancer awareness and prevention strategies. Kai noted that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a period dedicated to early detection and support for those affected.

The post garnered more than 20,000 likes and hundreds of comments from followers offering support. American singer and media personality Mary Millben was among those who responded to the update. Trump has five children with Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump.

The American Cancer Society reports that the average risk of a woman in the US developing breast cancer is approximately 1 in 8, or 13%. The organization states that the disease accounts for 30% of all new female cancers annually. Surgery cures most breast cancers, while chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and endocrine therapy lower long-term risks when disease remains.

Treatment for early breast cancer continues to advance with more targeted therapies and precise radiotherapy. Trump separated from Trump Jr. in 2018. Last year, she announced she had begun dating professional golfer Tiger Woods.
