38-Year-Old Prisoner Missing After Forcing Exit From Lewisham Clinic
The Metropolitan Police are searching seven counties for Anthony Lloyd, who has been at large since Friday afternoon.

Police have launched a multi-county search for Anthony Lloyd, a 38-year-old man who forced his way out of a medical facility in Lewisham. The Metropolitan Police described him as a risk to both himself and the public. They have instructed residents not to approach him if they encounter him on the street.
Lloyd left the health unit shortly after 4 pm on Friday. Officers last saw him at approximately 4:10 pm heading toward Catford. He was wearing a grey-blue T-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms, and white trainers. He is white, stands about 5 ft 8 in, has a medium build, and sports short dark hair.
His path to the clinic began in 2025 when he was convicted of actual bodily harm. The charge stemmed from an incident in Nottinghamshire involving three emergency services workers. A court handed him a 12-month custodial sentence. He served time in prison before transferring to the Lewisham medical facility in September.
Det Supt Melanie Pressley leads the current search operation. She said officers are conducting various inquiries to locate Lloyd and return him to custody. Pressley urged anyone with information, no matter how small, to contact police as a matter of urgency. She emphasized that the situation requires immediate attention from the public.
Police believe Lloyd could be anywhere in London. However, they are also searching areas where he has known links. These regions include Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley, Hampshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Merseyside. The expanded search area reflects the locations where officers think he might seek shelter.
The force issued a statement on Saturday to update the public on Lloyd's movements. They confirmed he was seen moving in the direction of Catford after his exit. The statement reiterated the advice to call 999 immediately if he is spotted.
Anyone with information can call 999 and quote the reference CAD4739/23Oct. Officers are coordinating efforts across the capital and the linked counties to close the net around the fugitive.
