A Miami-Dade County neighborhood saw a heavy police presence late Thursday night after reports of gunfire at a Hialeah apartment complex. Surveillance video captured the incident around 11:30 p.m. near 22nd Court and 60th Street. Police have not released details about who was shot or the circumstances of the shooting.

Kelly Moregon, a neighbor, told CBS Miami that she heard gunfire, followed by the sound of many cars and helicopters. "I grabbed my daughter and go to my mom's room because she's the furthest room in the house. In case," she said. Video taken after the shooting showed first responders placing a person into a medical helicopter for transport to a hospital.

A resident of the building who declined to be identified said he saw two people leave the building injured. "Just a couple guys coming out all bloody, and then I asked the cop, and they're like, 'Yeah. A couple people got shot,'" he said, adding that helicopters transported them to the Jackson Trauma Center.

A woman who lives in the corner unit told CBS Miami in Spanish that a party was underway Thursday night and that she saw two people arguing. She said her husband was the person who was shot and that he is expected to be okay. Another resident who was outside during the incident said, "This is too close for comfort. Imagine that. I got my son. You got bullets flying everywhere."

As of Friday, police have not identified who was shot or stated whether they are searching for a gunman or gunmen.
