Tyler Cameron walked away from the judges' table on Tuesday night after receiving his scores, and by Wednesday morning he was explaining why. Cameron, who was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday, addressed the moment in a TikTok video posted with his professional partner, Sharna Burgess.

"Y'all saw a real human moment out of me, not my proudest moment," Cameron said. "When I was upstairs getting my scores, I thought we were done filming and I was like, I needed to step away from it all." He said he believed the competition came down to getting a strong score that round. "I was disappointed in myself, OK," he said. "I thought we were boom or bust at that point where we had to have a great score or we were out of this competition."

Cameron and Burgess performed a Dracula-inspired Viennese Waltz for Horror Movie Night. Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, Derek Hough and guest judge Shirley Ballas scored the routine. Tonioli, Inaba and Hough each gave the dance a 7, while Ballas awarded a 5, for a total of 26 out of 40. Ballas, known as the "Queen of Latin" in the ballroom world, said Cameron's acting was strong but pointed to posture and technique issues in the dance.

Burgess said Wednesday she believed Cameron had executed the dance "beautifully." "I think your score should not have been 7s. I don't know why you were given 7s, I think you could have been 8s and Shirley's 5, which by the way was the highest that she scored a ballroom dancer the whole night," Burgess said. She added, "It was a tough night. For whatever reason, they were tough on you. They've been tough on you. Last week, you should have got higher scores too. It's been a pattern for you."

The elimination came one week after Dedication Night, when Cameron and his fiancée, Tate Madden, revealed they are expecting a child. Cameron called his run on the show "a blessing" and told Burgess he would miss the ballroom. Burgess said Cameron and Madden have become family. "This journey that we've had was so much more than competing for a Mirror Ball," she said, adding that she would be at their events. "You guys are family now and so that is greater than one more, two more weeks on the show."

Also eliminated Tuesday was Jackson Olson, a star of the Savannah Bananas, along with his professional partner Emma Slater. Dancing with the Stars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and streams on Disney+, with episodes available the next day on Hulu. The Walt Disney Co. is the parent company of ABC News, Disney+ and Hulu.
